About Us > National Advisory Panels

National Skills Coalition’s National Advisory Panels are made up of thought leaders in their fields. Each panel serves as a sounding board to NSC as we shape, develop, and implement the coalition’s policy agenda and advocacy and communications strategies.

Many members of our panels are drawn from NSC’s National Partners – key networks with which NSC engages in ongoing strategic collaboration to shape and advance essential policy reforms at the federal and state level. These National Partners include Business Leaders United for Workforce Partnerships, Commission on Adult Basic Education, National Youth Employment Coalition, National Council of La Raza, National Council on Workforce Education, Workforce Data Quality Campaign, National Fund for Workforce Solutions, and Young Invincibles.

Skills Equity

The Skills Equity National Advisory Panel brings together a diverse group of adult education, immigration, community college, labor, and other partners to advance policies that support skill-building and employment advancement for individuals with low literacy, numeracy, and/or English skills. This Panel provides strategic guidance as NSC develops a policy platform and advocacy strategy to support meaningful investment in employment-focused basic skills as a key element of our nation’s skills and economic strategy.

Members of this National Advisory Panel come to us from a number of our key national partners, including the Commission on Adult Basic Education (COABE), National Council of La Raza (NCLR), and the Community College Consortium for Immigrant Education (CCCIE).  Panelists with affiliations to these national partners are labeled below.
