2019 Skills for California Summit

Co-hosted by National Skills Coalition and California EDGE Coalition, the 2019 Skills for California Summit was held February 25 - 26, 2019 in Sacramento, CA. This Summit brought together close to 100 advocates, researchers, and practitioners from across the state around a collective workforce policy agenda and provided an opportunity to turn it into real policy action.

During this two-day event, partners from across California worked together to advance strategies from a shared state workforce development policy agenda, Securing a strong economic future for all Californians.

The Summit featured numerous policy and advocacy discussions to help advance the agenda and on Tuesday, February 26, teams of advocates went to the Capitol to meet with legislators to discuss the Skills for California Action Agenda. Cumulatively, the groups held close to thirty meetings with legislators and staff.
