Pop-up Briefing: Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act

The Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act (Perkins Act) is the main federal investment in career and technical education (CTE). Despite the fact that CTE programs serve millions of students and employers every year across the U.S., the Perkins Act has not been reauthorized since 2006. However, recent bipartisan efforts in both the House and Senate have led to the passage of a Perkins reauthorization bill that is on its way to the President’s desk to be signed into law. What led to Congressional action on the Perkins Act? Why is this legislation so critical for students, employers and the economy? Tune into National Skills Coalition’s Perkins Act webinar to hear from education and workforce experts.
